- Website Update, July 2011 David Spann
Hello Friends,
Huge thanks to you.
· We got a finished video from a Saxon Pub performance, (and we’re shooting more tonight, with what I hope to be better set, crowd and song selection). Will start uploading 2 songs a month; to YouTube soon.
· Loris Lowe has come through big time and played a song every week onKLBJ’s Local Licks for 3-weeks now. She plugged tonight’s show this Tuesday, so we’re hoping to reach more folks with the momentum.
· In 2-week’s I’m doing a clinic at the biggest music store in Mexico City, for G&L Guitars http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=254321001248232&set=at.179717728708560.47499.100000110016657.1277018333&type=1
- Website Update, March 2010 David Spann
Sorry for the inactivity, some of you may already know my friend; bassist and manager Ron Wilson suffered a series of strokes last August. Patty and I visited Ron and Trienna Wilson and are happy to report he looks great, has full mobility, speaks clearly and still has a great sense of humor. We hope to begin rehearsing the summer of 2010.
Meanwhile, I have been recording a new CD that I hope to have ready early next year…it is a killer.
Come see me playing live with The Timebombs, the Timebombs are an established outfit led by vocalist / harmonica, Tim Nolan. The rhythm section is none other than Bruce Reilly bass, and Mark McChristian on drums, the rhythm section and I had a band in 1979 – 80 and we actually played the Armadillo World Headquarters…. Remember “Black Diamond”? Timebombs are a fun R&B, Rock band and we have a busy spring and summer coming up.
Check out the newest Vox Tonelab ST video coming out soon on YouTube.
I’ll be performing 3-nights at Guitar Fest in Monterrey, Mexico March 4, 5 & 6, and hope to have some video of the event as I’m working up some special material for the events, and will be featuring G&L Guitars and Basses. G&L was founded by Leo Fender in 1979 as a creative outlet to refine and release his ultimate instrument achievements.
SXSW will have a Korg, Vox, Marshall, Stagg both that should be a good event to check out the latest products from all these companies, very exciting new amplifiers and recorders.
